This wednesday the BFS is hosting a viewing of Animal House. Thats right ANIMAL HOUSE.. the best college movie ever made. probably for most of us the only movie besides Revenge Of The Nerds that justifies in our minds the need for fraternities, toga parties and the purchase of ten thousand marbles.

So bring some beer, bring some friends and get ready for 109 minutes of beer, togas, food fights and projectile vomiting.

Wear a toga if you like and come have some mid week fun.

Notes that say you are to well to attend will not be accepted.

See you here.

Last week most of you styed away beacuse of the rain, and truth be told when I got home I called the die hards to cancel roadhouse due to a super intense thunderstorm that was going to roll in (by my predictions) at 10:30pm.. we watched a little Three Amigos while waiting and just as I predicted the rain came down in Buckets here at the Pitt at 10:34pm. It was going to be all of Road House or none, so this week we will really do it. ROAD HOUSE, Wednesday, July 19, 2006.

Wednesday, July 12, 2006

Don't forget.. tonight its gonna be Road House on the roof.. bring your beer bring a friend and sit down to watch one of the best b movies of all time Starring Patrick Swayze, Kelly Lynch, Sam Elliot and a thousand b-movie stars saying a tjousand b-movie lines. There will be microphones in view of the camera and visibly safety chains in every car stunt.

This is one of those movies you have to go to. So be there! Remember.. "It's my way or the highway."

Got to work on thursday?...

We'll sleep when were dead.

Due to vacation time for me we will not be doing MOTR this week. I will be in at the summer house in new jersey chilling by the pool working on my tan and viewing movies on the little 19 inch screen in the living room. If anyone feels like coming out to join me for a little country living then let me know. there are easy trains and buses to take you out to vasa park where we feature the three b's... beer, bbq, and bb guns.

MOTR will be back next week. I hope you all had a great 4th and I look forward to seeing all of you next week for Road House, starring Patrick Swayze in his best role ever.

rock on with your bad selves.. its the best summer ever!

In honor of the up coming 2-5 day weekend we all will have the weekend, I am presenting OFFICE SPACE as the MOTR film of the week. Why?.. one its a fantastic movie and two it will help to remind us all that this is truly the best summer ever and the only thing that can bring our summer down is having to show up at work every day five days a week to do pretty much the same thing over and over again. sure we might do some interesting things and have fullfilling jobs, but in truth there are aspects of our jobs that we dont like or wish would .. just go away.. (bosses.. (who here has more than one boss?) beaurocratic processes that are a waste of time, resources and space? etc etc..)

Just the job in general can be a drag and in the summer unless its raining we wish we were at the beach, the pool camping.. anywhere but in a totally contained airconditioned four walled building that may even go up 90 stories into the sky filled with the same people staring out the window (if you are so lucky as to have one) wishing you could just take off and do something fun.. something summer.

This is your chance to see what is possible and to laugh at how right Mike Judge actually got it.

So come on down to the pitt.. bring some beer, liquor etc and watch Office Space.

Then come to the realization that maybe if you did not show up for work the next day things would be ok.. you would still have your job.. maybe you can skip out till july fifth? whatever your decision.. just be there.

The MOTR season has officially begun. BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA went off without a hitch. We laughed, we commented, we drank, we laughed some more. All under an overcast yet dry sky. The gods were kind to us.

Next Wednesday's main event: Weird Science. More memorable quotes and a hot women made by two geeks who shop at "White World". Another fave for the family. Or whoever you are. See you then.

Sadly, Mother Nature has decided that MOTR will not happen tonight. Big Trouble in Little China will be rescheduled for next Wednesday, June 14. Mark yr calendars.

Big Trouble in Little China

Wednesday, June 7, 2006

That's right. It's the season we've all been waiting for. Get ready for one of the key ingredients to making this summer - Summer 2006, the Best Summer Ever. The official opening of Movies On The Roof is coming.

To start things off, The BFS brings you a charming tale of Chinese black magic set deep in San Fransisco's Chinatown. Big Trouble in Little China. It's funny, it's campy, it has lines to quote and laugh from. It's Movies On The Roof, what more could you ask?

The show will start promptly around 9:00 PM. Seriously. Think of this as going to the movies. You want to be there to get a good seat, no? That pesky line at the refreshment stand can get a bit slow, with the new guy not knowing how to use the butter pump. Then, of course, the previews. Wouldn't want to miss those. Use these experiences to formulate travel times and such accordiangly. Substitute the refreshment stand for the bodega on the corner. And when yr there, pick up a forty of Miller High Life for the BFS. He'll thank you for it, and you'll be so proud.

All you have to do, is bring yrself, a friend or two, alcoholic beverage(s) of yr choice, and something to keep you warm. It can get a bit chilly on the roof - hey, it's seven stories up by the East River. Just be prepared. See you there.
